E S C H E R F U N K
I love the work of the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher. This project, started as a part of my master's degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music, pays homage to impossible perspectives, twisting the brain by means of wierd bass grooves, double-digit time signatures, and free electronic soundscapes created with ring modulators, synths, electric piano, and so on.
Which way up is the house? Does the water flow upwards? What is the inside and what is the outside? Why does it look as though you can walk downstairs for ever?
This project is a work in progress. I will be expanding the lineup as well as the repertoire. And it is only going to get wierder: and MORE INTENSE.
