David Arthur Skinner - solo piano

David Arthur Skinner is one of the foremost jazz pianists in Norway. Originally from England, Skinner has lived in Norway since 2005, and has worked in a wide range of musical contexts in the course of his twenty-five years as a professional musician. Skinner is a solo piano specialist, and presents a mixture of jazz standards and his own compositions with a vivid musical imagination and a high level of technical mastery. The music is rooted in pre-1960s jazz, inspired especially by stride piano, blues, and bebop, with a strong influence from the classical piano tradition.
